You must meet Alex Fletcher (Hugh Grant) and Sophie Fisher (Drew Barrymore). Alex is a pop star superstar of the 80's and trying to save his career at stage performing in the county fairs and amusement parks. He dont give a damn since he could still sing his old songs and fans are still there for him. When he got the chance to compose a song for the reigning pop princess Cora Corman (Haley Bennet) for a duet - he grab it. The problem is, its been years now since the last time he wrote a song. And Cora just gave him few days to finish it up. He needs a lyricist.
That’s where Sophie Fisher, Alex’s plant lady, comes in. She needs to be convinced to help him compose a song in a limited time. From then, a typical love story, they fall for each other. Got this video online:
The sound track is great. Way Back Into Love. Nice lyrics and beautiful melody. Music and lyrics must collaborate with each other to come up with a good song.
