October 30th, 2006 - Kurdt's Delivery

At 3-4:00 am i begun to experience what they called labor pain. At first, I was just ignoring the pain coz i dont want to make trouble that early in the morning and thinking it was just a diarhea. i even go to the bathroom and stay there for 5-10 mins but nothing happens. I am not thinking that "its labor time" that is because there is no blood spotting and no water leaks. But at 6 am, the pain is beginning to have a meaning where i can't stand the contraction. I woke my bebi up and tell him that my tummy is painful (still not thinking that i'm starting my labor). We decided to go to the hospital for check up just to be sure what is really happening to our lil kurdt inside. Nicko woke up her mom coz we need to borrow cellphone... Soo bad coz that day, both of our phonelines were cut temporarily hehehe we are a good payee indeed haha! we are not in panic but before going out in our room, i am already have my pants on and nicko in his shorts (as in short) carrying our bag (that i prepared a couple of weeks now) have plan to go out and rush to the hospital haha

Then her mom told me to have some warm bath before going to the hospital. While doing so, mama (my mother in law) prepared some stuff in a paper bags with the following inside hehe (coffee, cups, skyflakes, hot water). At first, Nicko and I just smiled coz we especially me, not thinking that im giving birth that day. That is because last saturday, 2 days ago, my OB told me that my cervix still close and no signs of labor yet.

Anyway, we rush into the hospital while typhoon "paeng" is currently pouring rains in metro manila. That time, we are thinking of giving kurdt a nick of paeng hehe.

On our way, I experienced contractions and strong waves that feels like diarrheal cramps. There is a cramping in my abdomen and pain all through my thighs. But there is no choice but to deal with this pains to help me deliver our baby kurdt. When i feel that pain, i just close my eyes and hold Nicko's hand til its over. Then another contactions again and again. There is 3-6 contractions per minute. waahh it was so painful.

At 7:00 am, one of the residential OB told me that my cervix still close but she checked that there is really a contraction. She advised me to have my breakfast first and come back at 9:30 (that is after 2 hours). She also advised me to have some walk after meal.

So, my bebi and I have our breakfast outside the hospital. I have mine in between contractions. I can't remember how i finished my food with that painful contractions. Then we have some walk around the hospital. Ofcourse "we" hehe

Then I came back at 9:30 am. The doctor said, i am now 1 cm but i still need to cope with the long period of labor. My OB already see me at 10 am. She gave some instructions and told me that the baby already gave signals that he's ready to come out. They will give me some medicine to make my labor fast. It was October 30th and she (my OB) doesn't want my baby to come out in All saints day (Nov. 1) hehe

Then i was advised to get a room for the preparation of my delivery. They paged out Nicko that is waiting outside. That time, while im in labor.. with those pain that i have, i even think if Nicko heard that he's in need. Coz i was thinking that he's already asleep outside hahaha i bet, coz he came home the other night at 12 mn. Came from? hmmm

Anyway, at 11:30, it was 5 cm and they are now thinking of putting me in the delivery room. I stayed in the delivery room with blurry vision and still dealing with pain. At that time, i cant explain the pain... It is really 100 times as dysmenorhea (tama ba spell? hehe) As in painfull... Then suddenly, i heard my OB that my water bag broke. She even shout coz she's still not wearing her gown but kurdt is ready to come out. The last thing that i remembered, when they begun to scream "push". Then i realized, it really happen in real life while giving birth.

At last, at 12:03 PM, a healthy lil boy came out. I have my normal delivery to our dear son at 5.6lbs and 47 cm long. After that, i am lost. Black out!

I woke up at 3pm, i cant even stand, talk and ofcourse walk. I am so tired. My bebi just shown me my lil kurdt's picture then go and sleep again. Until that time, i am not so convinced that it was my baby, i gave birth and I am already a MOM! It was sooooo painful but a guess, it was the best experienced a woman can have.
